I miss

I miss having a someone that when I come home is excited to see me. :)
I miss having someone to lay in bed at night and talk to about the kids.
I miss being someones better half --------
Ok ok........ I must correct my thinking, this thinking only leads to depression :)

I love the flowers in my front yard!
I love all my wonderful children.
I love that I have a job :)
I love my home and my computer!!! :)

January 2010 is well in progress!

Well here we are Loving January 2010. I for one am making some changes. I think it has taken me way to long to figure some of these things out or then again maybe it is just the right time now. For what seems like several years my home has slowly become everyone elses home and I just pay the bills. So just after Christmas it struck me I had to do something about this. I was totally tired of not enjoying "my home".
I started with the kitchen (which I am by all means not finished) I cleaned out cupboards- took out what I was not using and I layed down new contact papers on the shelves. I figured on two things- 1. the less I had in the kitchen the less could be soiled. 2. the cleaner the kitchen looked the more encouraging it would be for all to keep it clean. Then I layed down a 'old familar' rule - If you dirty any thing you clean it. The only difference this time is I have followed through with this rule. :) In the morning when I come home from work I have actually texted several girls saying "Did you leave a bowl in my sink" or "Did you leave my kitchen a mess" This is truly working... I see a difference and my kitchen is looking better. Of course I have had to push myself too. Even when I am tired and would like to leave a few dishes till later- I have washed up and cleaned up my kitchen. :)
Then came my living room....... It was while I was taking all Christmas decor out. I vacuumed from one corner to the other. I dusted everywhere and decluttered my living room. I also took the toy box out of my living room. (All the time I was raising my children I never had the toys in the living room but for some reason I have started to allow this with grandkids) Of course they can bring a few toys in the living room but they must learn to put them away. No longer are we storing them in the living room. It has not been perfect but it has been so much better. I have had to keep reminding kids to put their things away.
I have been trying each day to work on a new area even if I just get to do a few minutes worth of cleaning. I also have to keep working on reminding everyone to help and to keep my kitchen and living room clean. This is working for me and I am totally excited!!!

Summer is almost over... wow.

Its been a great summer but once again it has gone way too fast. I have spent a lot of time outside in my yard this year. I planted a garden and have been blessed with much growth. Along with my yard I have spent a lot of time with my friend Gary. Which could account for the lack of time I have spent on this blog...lol

Choosing to be Happy

My sad feelings seem to want to pop out alot and it is always a constant battle to sweep it under a rug and be happy. I know being happy is a choice but dang it all sometimes that choice is so hard to make. When wants things to be so different than they are. I guess I'm a bad sport at times! Yes I want things my way. Oh well.........today is a good day to may a list and count my blessings. Put on a smile and find something to laugh about. Maybe I should go on you tube and watch clips of laughing babies (it is always funny to watch) or put on a good movie. Ok any one just happen to read my blog - go ahead find something to make me laugh and help me fake it another day. Sorry its a sad blog- :(

To All My Friends and Family,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I actually would rather write a personal letter to each of you but it’s not going to happen. So I am going to try to put an update to all on what has happened through 2009 for my family.
-In the beginning of the year- I had Jason, Jessica and their son Cody living in my basement along with Esther, Sarah, Naomi and of course me J Joshua had moved out the end of 2007. Josh was living in an apt. not too far from us.
-On April 12th – Josh married Amber Hunt in the SLC Temple.
-In May- Esther graduated from Ben Lomond High School.
-In June we took the girls on a trip to Zions canyon. Josh and Amber came along on this trip with us. We stopped in Manti for a night and watched the Manti pageant. Yes we camped out on this trip of ours J. After Manti we went to St. George and visited with Rachael (who has been living in St. George attending Dixie college). We camped at Zions for couple nights enjoying the outdoors.
-Esther moved to St. George to join Rachael and attend Dixie college. About the same time that -Esther moved out. My brother Mike and his family of 8, moved in my home while they looked for a place of their own.
-September- Jason and Jessica bought a home in Riverdale and moved out…… just in the nick of time sense Jessica is due to have a baby in Oct. J
-August- Laura and her family moved to Utah. Korey’s job has given him a position that will keep them in Utah. They have sense bought a home in West Point.
-October- Jessica had a baby boy (Cayden) He is adorable and they are all doing very well. That makes two grandsons from Jason and Jessica. J
-Mike and his family also moved out in October. They are now living in Clinton. Now for the first time ever…. My household is simply Sarah, Naomi and I. J
-Thanksgiving was quiet at our house. Hannah and her family came by other wise it was two girls and I.
-On Dec. 1st…. I had Carbal tunnel surgery on both my hands. I have the greatest doctor and my hands are doing great. I have to take two weeks away from working at Walmart but that is all.
-On Dec. 8th – Hannah had a baby. J Little Conner is doing great. Conner is my 9th grandchild. I now have 2 grand-daughters and 7 grandsons!

------- We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!!!! Judy, Sarah and Naomi

Ps. Esther is moving back here to Ogden to be near family.

Btw… Sarah is a senior this year and Naomi turns ‘16’
this month!
